Suzanne Harf was born in Luxembourg, where she earned her baccalaureate. She then went on to complete a masters degree in history, art and archaeology at the University of Strasbourg; a diploma in oratorio singing in Salzburg at the University of Mozarteum; and further studies in arts management at the University of Vienna. She has been on the directorial staff at the Salzburg Festival ever since and has served as head of sponsorship and protocol since 1995. From 1986 to 2004 she was a lecturer at the University of Mozarteum for French singing repertoire. Recently she has been a jury assistant at the Mozart Competition in Salzburg and lectured on the subject of art sponsorship at a variety of events, including the Budapest Spring Festival.
