Florian Scholz

Florian Scholz was born in Heidelberg, Germany, in 1970. After achieving his diploma at the University for Theatre Studies Ernst Busch in Berlin, he worked at several different theatres throughout Europe, including as assistant to Thomas Ostermeier at the Berlin Schaubühne, artistic director of the Contemporary Stage of the National Theatre Weimar and assistant to Gerard Mortier at the Paris National Opera. He complemented his studies with an executive masters in arts administration at Zurich University Switzerland.

Currently he is director of international affairs at Bavarian State Opera Munich, where he is in charge of rentals, sales and coproduction with national and international companies and takes care of the artistic side-program of the annual summer festival.
