Jeremy Ovenden

English tenor Jeremy Ovenden is one of the world’s finest interpreters of Mozart. His roles include Don Ottavio from ‘Don Giovanni’, Ferrando from ‘Così fan Tutte’, Biondello of ‘L’oca del Cairo’ and Asdrubale from ‘Lo Sposo Deluto’He has collaborated with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Muti, Myung-Whun Chung and Diego Fasolis, and performed at major opera houses including La Scala, La Fenice, Staatsoper Berlin, Théâtre des Champs Elysées and Glyndebourne.

Ovenden has performed in Bach’s ‘St John Passion’ and ‘St Matthew Passion’; Handel’s ‘Acis and Galatea’ and ‘Messiah’Schubert’s ‘Lazarus’ and Rossini’s ‘La Riconoscenza’ among other choral works. His discography includes Bach’s ‘St Mark Passion, St John Passion and cantatas’; Biber’s ‘Missa Salisburgensis’; Handel’s ‘Ode for St Cecilia’s Day and Saul’ and Haydn’s ‘Seasons and Creation’.
