Referred to as an ‘artistic wizard’ in her native Beijing, Su Jie is proficient in drama, dance, singing, Chinese folk art and filmmaking. She has received municipal, provincial and national awards, including the Wenhua Choreographer Prize for ‘The Crescent Moon at Midnight’ in 1991 and the CCTV performance prize for ‘New Year Wish’ in 1993. She has worked as a director and choreographer for performances on CCTV, the National Puppet Theatre and the Ling Mountain Buddhist Palace.
