Lady Linda Wong Davies’ KT Wong Foundation (KTW Foundation) has commissioned and curated a unique musical soundscape written by South African composer Neo Muyanga to accompany the video art work: Passage by Mohau Modisakeng. for the 57th Venice Biennale
The piece will be premiered in the South Africa Pavilion at 4pm on 10th May, followed by a reception at the Palazzo Pisani Moretta hosted by the South African Arts and Culture department
Mohau Modisakeng is one of two artists selected to represent South Africa at the Venice Biennale in 2017.
The KTWF has also commissioned a documentary by award winning film maker Mark Hopkins which charts the collaboration between these two artists.
The Venice Biennale has been one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world for over 120 years. Established in 1895, it now has an attendance of over 500,000 visitors at the Art Exhibition.
